Welcome to Clarissa's Crime Club

Updated: Sep 22, 2020

Hi everyone, and welcome to my blog! I am the author of Clarissa's Crime Club, a 25 year old true crime addict! I am quite obviously not a professional investigator, and therefore I wish to take a moment to caution you that any information which I publish on this blog may be subject to inaccuracies. The information I use to write my articles will be sourced from the Internet, podcasts, articles, books and documentaries.

About this blog

I have been fascinated by true crime for as long as I can remember. In particular, I am most intrigued by unsolved missing persons cases; that an individual can simply vanish without a trace both baffles and intrigues me, especially in this modern era when technology makes it much more difficult for someone to disappear, seemingly without any clues as to their whereabouts.

I remember vividly reading that it is estimated that approximately 2,000 individuals, both children and adults, are deemed missing in the USA every day. Citizens who reside in America and are more familiar with how vast the country is may not find this statistic as shocking as I did, but as I reside in a small town, in a small country I found this figure to be truly shocking.

I decided to start my blog as a resource for me to share details of missing persons cases, those of unsolved murders, and discuss other famous ‘cold’ cases. I will also write about my theories of what may have happened in such cases, and invite readers to share their thoughts.

Information about cases

If you have any information regarding any of the cases I write about on this blog, no matter how insignificant you think it may be, please get in touch with the relevant authorities.

If you have any information regarding the cases of missing children, please contact 1-800-THE-LOST where you will be put in contact with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.

I will endeavour to provide the details of the relevant law enforcement authorities whom you should contact with information under each relevant article.

Cases of Interest

If you have a particular interest in a specific case which you would like me to research and write about, please do get in touch with me by emailing clarissascrimeclub@gmail.com

If you like my articles (or don’t!) and wish to send me some feedback, you can also do so at the above email address.

Discussion

Finally, I would be delighted if readers wished to leave comments for discussion under each article to tell me your theories on the cases.

Many of the cases I will write about are unsolved and therefore remain as open investigations. I would please ask readers who wish to comment to be respectful to the families and friends of the victims. Whilst my aim with this blog is to record my interest in true crime cases, and provide a source of information for those interested in such cases, I also aspire for my articles to raise awareness to these unsolved cases, in the hope that they will one day answers can be provided to the victim's families. As this blog is public, please keep all comments as respectful as possible towards the families and friends in the event they may read the comments.

Please also be aware that some of the information published on this blog will contain details which some individuals may find upsetting, and therefore it is recommended for mature viewers only.

If you like my articles, please do spread the word!

Happy reading!

Clarissa x
